I’ve had an Apple Watch for almost exactly two years now and I just disabled chat notifications on it. It was so distracting that I had kept it in pretty much uninterrupted DND mode for the past few months. Thankfully, the notification settings for the watch in 26.5 are a little less confusing thanks to the DMA now, so I managed to trim down the stuff that gets forwarded from the slim pool of apps with notification permissions on my iPhone.
