Finally got around to…
Finally got around to watching The Shining. This is one of the few times where I get why something has been so hyped up around me and why this movie is considered a classic. The sound design was incredible and, as with most horror movies, it carried it. While this movie might appear overdone, it does so because many other horror movies tried to emulate in hopes of attaining its success. However, given that it was a genre defining movie, I can overlook that and still praise it.
